“Initially it was purely a coping mechanism. It became an addiction. People said I was doing it for attention, when in fact it was a cry for help. Everything changed when I was finally listened to.”
Self-harm is a hidden public health crisis.
Samaritans Scotland commissioned us to make a series of six podcasts to explore self-harm. People with lived experience and professionals share experiences and ideas about how policy can and should change.
“The podcasts are a brilliant resource” commented the Samaritans. “We hope that they’ll contribute to an ambitious new policy approach on self-harm. It’s been great working with media co-op: the support, insight and passion they bring. I hope we get the chance to work with them again in future!”
