The Stay Mobile Stay Connected campaign has been hitting the headlines this week with the launch of four new animations made by people in their 70s, 80s and 90s.
The films – Prevention Is Cheaper, No Cotton Wool, Shrink to A Chair, and Don’t Let Doctors – spell out loud and clear the message that older adults should live life to the full, and that more needs to be done to prevent falls and tackle loneliness and isolation.
81-year old campaign champion, Norrie Mathieson told BBC Radio Scotland listeners they should “Tell Gran yes she can!” You can hear his interview on Good Morning Scotland here at 2:56:08.
The animations were launched at the Older and Bolder event in Erskine, which was part of the Scottish Government’s Fire Starter Festival. The Sunday Post, the Paisley Daily Express, The Gazette and Third Force News all highlighted the amazing work the campaign champions are doing.
You can watch the animations at @StayM_StayC and @ROARstaymobilestayconnected.
