Essential skills

  • Hands-on proven experience production managing or co-ordinating a range of different kinds of media productions, including broadcast TV
  • Experience of scheduling and budgeting projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in Microsoft Excel 
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Critical thinker/problem solver
  • Working on own initiative and organising own workflow
  • Personal integrity and a commitment to excellence

Desirable skills and experience

It would be an advantage to have experience in:

  • TV documentaries, especially with indies for the BBC
  • digital & cross-platform projects
  • corporate production
  • animation
  • both factual and drama production
  • the Third Sector (e.g. charities, social enterprises) and/or the Public Sector (e.g. NHS, Scottish Government). This could be professional experience, or from volunteering outwith your work.

Hours

Part time, 30 hrs a week. We hope this will suit someone with caring responsibilities at home, or other reasons for not working full time.
