Starting Primary School: For parents who have learning disabilities
The film we produced for People First and the Scottish Consortium for Learning Disabilities being launched at an event on 5th September. The event is called : SUPPORTED PARENTING – what works well for families?
This event will prove useful to: Anyone who support children or families where parents have a learning disability; Policy makers in the area of children and families, education, and learning disability and Parents with learning disabilities.
As well as the film launch the event will feature key speakers, including Beth Tarleton, Senior Research Fellow, Nora Fry Institute, Bristol University and Donald Urquhart, Chair, Child Protection Chairs’ Committee. There will be further speakers from the Scottish Government’s National Parenting Strategy Team and the GIRFEC Team.
