We’re delighted for Maryhill Integration Network and NHS Lanarkshire who both won awards at The Herald Scottish Digital Business Awards last week. Maryhill Integration Network’s ‘A Strong Man’ won the local Charity and Social Enterprise Award sponsored by the Wheatley Group, and NHS Lanarkshire’s ‘Trauma and the Brain’ won the Public Sector Award.
‘A Strong Man’ was made with White Ribbon Scotland by a group of refugee men from different countries and cultures who wanted to show that they are part of the movement to end violence against women. The animation ‘Trauma and the Brain’, made for NHS Lanarkshire, shows the wide range of possible responses to trauma and abuse and has been used in training programmes for front line professionals in the UK and beyond.
Well done also to Scottish Refugee Council for the nomination of ‘Courage’ and to the Women’s Support Project for the nomination of ‘Sara’s Story’.
A great achievement for all involved.
