“He’d smash a plate right beside me, and then laugh at me when I flinched. He knew he didn’t have to hit me to keep me under control.”
Hidden in Plain Sight is based on true stories of Coercive Control, collected by Women’s Aid case workers. When the Domestic Abuse (Scotland) Act finally made Coercive Control a criminal offence, Scottish Women’s Aid needed campaign resources to help people understand the insidious nature of this form of domestic abuse. We created a training animation, a set of posters, and two social media clips, viewed thousands of times on Twitter and Facebook.
